Pursuant to an agreement with the Braeburn Valley Homeowners Association, Inc., Republic Waste Services of Texas, Ltd is the garbage collection contractor for your community. Please note that your garbage service days are Wednesday and Saturday. As a friendly reminder, your waste should be available for collection by 7:00am. If your residence backs up to one of the alleyways of Braeburn Valley, please note that all of your waste should be left on the alley side for collection. If your residence does not back up to an alleyway, household garbage should be placed in front of the garage door, where this location does not require access inside a fenced area. Yard waste, including clippings, shall be collected at the curbside. Bulky waste and bundles should also be placed at the curbside. All household trash and garbage must be placed in a container or bag not to exceed thirty-five (35) gallons. All branches and tree limbs must be cut to four foot (4') lengths and tied in small bundles that can be lifted and handled by a single person. Bundles should be no larger than eighteen (18") inches in diameter and weigh no more than 50 (50) pounds. Individual limbs should be no more than three (3") inches in diameter. In the event that one of the collection days in cancelled for weather reasons (ice storm, hurricane, flood, etc.) or if the collection falls on a holiday, there will be no collection until the following day (except Sunday). Scheduled holidays (which may or may not be observed) will include: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Labor Day.
Republic Waste will collect and dispose of all your residential refuse unless restricted by law or if the item would cause damage to the collection equipment. Listed are some items that are restricted: cross ties, tires, solvents, paint, petroleum products, pool chemicals, fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, hazardous materials/chemicals, logs or stumps, car batteries, soil, rocks concrete, medical waste, and medical sharps (hypodermic needles). Curbside Recycling GuidelinesCurbside (or alley) recycling is included in your community's solid waste management services. Should you not have an eighteen-gallon plastic recycling bin, please call our office for delivery. Recyclable items may be commingled in the bin, and sorting will be done at the truck and the recycling center. Your weekly recycling days is Wednesday. Please set your bin within five feet of your curb (or alleyway if your residence has one) by 7:00am to assure service. Recyclable MaterialsNewspaper: Includes the newspaper itself and any glossy inserts that are included with your Sunday paper. Please do not include other types of paper. Papers should not be tied or strapped together. If the newspaper volume is such that the bin does not provide ample space, you may place the newspaper in a brown paper bag and set it next to your bin. Plastic: Plastic bottles and jugs that are marked with a No. 1 or No. 2 recycling logo. This includes milk and water jugs, soda bottles, etc. Please remove caps and rinse the containers. There is no need to remove the labels. Aluminum Beverage Cans: Please rinse empty cans. Crushing the cans will provide additional space for other materials in your recycling bin. Bi-Metal Cans: This includes your food (tin) cans. Please rinse empty cans. There is no need to remove labels. Glass will not currently be included in your curbside recycling program, due to the current local recycling market. Should the market change and make the recycling of glass feasible again, you will be notified accordingly.
