BRAEBURN VALLEY HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

POOL RULES AND RELEASE

These rules are designed for the safety of Braeburn Valley homeowners, their children and their guests. In order to receive a pool tag, each homeowner must read, sign and return a copy of this form to AVR Management. Please retain a copy and follow the rules for a safe and enjoyable time at the pool.

  1. Proper identification (pool tag) is required for admittance.
  2. Only two guests allowed per pool tag.
  3. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years of age and older). Lifeguards are not responsible for supervision of under aged children.
  4. Swimsuits required.
  5. No persons with open cuts or sores allowed in the pool.
  6. Only children 5 years and under are allowed in the wading pool.
  7. Parents are responsible for supervision of their children in the wading pool.
  8. Lifeguards have full and final authority.
  9. Do not talk unnecessarily with the lifeguards on the stand.
  10. No pets, except Seeing Eye dogs in the pool area.
  11. No food, drinks or gum in the pool.
  12. No electrical cords in the pool area.
  13. No smoking or alcohol in the pool area.
  14. No loud, abusive or vulgar language.
  15. No running or horseplay.
  16. No balls, Frisbees or throw toys in the pool.
  17. Battery operated radios may be operated at low volume only.
  18. No rafts, inner tubes, etc. are allowed in the pool.
  19. Small flotation devices such as arm floats are allowed in the pool with adult supervision.
  20. No floating devices at all in the diving area.
  21. There will be a ten-minute break period every hour for each hour the pool is open. Adults (18 and older) may swim continuously at all times with no break period.
  22. No diving in shallow water.
  23. Only one person on the diving board at all times.
  24. Wait until the person diving is at the side of the pool before the next person dives.
  25. Feet must stay in contact with the diving board. No double jumping on the diving board.
  26. Dive straight off the diving board, not to the side.
  27. For backward dives, you must face forward while approaching the end of the diving board, then stop and turn at the end of the board.

In consideration for the privilege of using the swimming pool and facilities of the Braeburn Valley Homeowners Association, the undersigned hereby agrees to assume all risk for claims heretofore and hereafter arising from said use and expressly agrees to release said Braeburn Valley Homeowners Association, its agents, officers, employees and aides from all liability or claims, demands and costs for or arising out of any injuries or damages sustained while using said swimming pool and facilities of the Braeburn Valley Homeowners Association.

The undersigned hereby acknowledges having read and understood the Pool Rules and Release as set out above, agrees to abide by and be bound by the rules and regulations for the operation and safety of the swimming pool and facilities of the Braeburn Valley Homeowners Association and hereby executes this release voluntarily and with full knowledge of its significance.
